Our Curriculum The Cambridge Theatre Dance School is a Certified Educational Institution. The curriculum includes the Royal Academy of Dancing Ballet Syllabi which are progressively graded from Primary through to Grade Eight and which also include the three levels of Professional Examinations.
The same type of graded system is followed for the Imperial Society's Modern Theatre Dance Branch which is a creative, rhythmic, very expressive form of dance that has a strong technical foundation and incorporates the Tap Syllabi.
Hip Hop and Musical Theatre are offered in order to cover a wide spectrum of dance education all built upon the solid base of classical ballet.

Our Studios Two large fully equipped studios provide an excellent atmosphere for learning, and class size is limited in order to ensure the ideal teacher-student ratio.  Parents are invited to observe their children's classes twice a year at end of term. Closed circuit TV is available for regular viewing in the Green Room.  A written report is also provided for each student in the spring.

Our Productions A full scale Theatre Production is held every three years and additional performance opportunities are available to the students periodically as circumstances warrant.

Examinations Examinations are held twice yearly with Examiners appointed by the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. These exams are optional and not to be considered compulsory, however, it is at the principal's discretion whether or not a student is considered ready to take an examination. The decision will be made with the full interest of the student in mind.
